زمینه و هدف: کودکان کمتوان ذهنی در رشد مهارتهای حرکتی کنترل شی دارای تأخیر هستند. هدف این مطالعه، بررسی اثر مداخله تمرینات بدنی منتخب بر مهارتهای کنترل شی کودکان 7 تا 10 ساله دارای کمتوانی ذهنی بود.
مواد و روشها: در این مطالعه نیمهتجربی، 30 کودک 7 تا 10 ساله کمتوان ذهنی در مراکز کمتوان ذهنی شهر اهواز به روش نمونهگیری زمانی در دسترس انتخاب و بـه شکل تـصادفی به دو گروه تجربی (قد: 8/14±8/128، وزن: 12/9±29) و کنترل (قد: 7/15±5/126، وزن: 2/12±28/31) تقسیم شدند. سپس، آزمودنی‌ها توسط آزمون رشد حرکتـی درشـت در مرحله پیش آزمون ارزیابی شدند. آزمودنی‌های گروه تجربی به مدت 8 هفته، هر هفته سه جلسه و هر جلسه 45 دقیقه در مداخلات تمرینی مهارتهـای حرکتـی شرکت کردند. آزمودنی‌های گروه کنترل نیز فعالیت‌‌‌‌های عـادی مدرسـه را انجام دادند و فعالیت منظم ورزشی نداشتند. پس از اتمام دوره تمرینی از تمامی آزمودنیها پس آزمون بهعمل آمد. برای تحلیل دادهها از روشهای آماری تحلیل واریانس یکطرفه و تی وابسته با نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 20 استفاده شد. سطح آلفای کوچک‌تر از 05/0 به عنوان سطح معنی‌دار در نظر گرفته شد.
ملاحظات اخلاقی: این مطالعه با کد IR.SSRI.REC.1397.390 توسط کمیته اخلاق پژوهشی پژوهشگاه علوم ورزشی به تصویب رسیده است.
یافتهها: یافتهها نشان داد که هشت هفته تمرینات جسمانی منتخب تـأثیر معنی‌داری بر متغیرهای کنترل شی مانند ضربه زدن با دست (001/0 = p)، دریبل کـردن (001/0 = p)، دریافـت کـردن (001/0 = p) و پرتـاب توپ (001/0 = p) داشت، اما تأثیر معنی‌داری بر متغیرهای ضربه زدن با پا (001/0 = p)، و غلتاندن توپ (001/0 = p) نـداشت.
نتیجهگیری: بـر اسـاس نتایج این پژوهش، مداخله تمرینات بدنی ‌‌‌‌می‌تواند باعث بهبود مهارت‌‌‌‌های کنتـرل شـی در کودکـان کمتوان ذهنی شود.
