Today, the main way for diagnosis and treatment is the use of research evidences which is called Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM). It is the conscientious, explicit, judicious and reasonable use of modern, best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients. That is, the preferability of a method of practice should be determined based on the studies with the highest level of evidence. Currently, with the rapid spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the world, the consideration of EBM principles has become more important and the medical community is needed to make the best effort to ensure that the response to COVID-19 should be based on the scientific evidences, not on personal opinions and emotions.
