<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span dir="RTL" style="border:none windowtext 1.0pt;padding:0in;"><strong>مقدمه</strong>: کودکان در هر کشوری به دلیل نقشی که در آینده ایفا خواهند نمود از اهمیت ویژهای برخوردارند. در کشور ما نیز کودکان درصد بالایی از جمعیت را به خود اختصاص میدهند. در کشورهای جهان سوم اکثر کودکان به دلیل فقرهای مادی و فرهنگی دچار سوء تغذیه میباشند که نتیجه آن اختلال در رشد جسمانی و روانی آنها میباشد. در این میان با توجه به اثرات شناخته شده روی در متابولیسم و رشد انسان، این مطالعه جهت بررسی بیش تر اثرات روی در افزایش وزن صدک وزنی کودکان صورت پذیرفت.</span><br>
<span dir="RTL" style="border:none windowtext 1.0pt;padding:0in;"><strong>روش کار</strong>: طی یک مطالعه کارآزمایی بالینی دوسوکور، 70 کودک (21 پسر و 49 دختر) 9 تا 36 ماهه که فاقد هیچ گونه بیماری زمینهای بودند، به شیوه نمونهگیری تصادفی انتخاب گردیدند. این کودکان به دو گروه مساوی تقسیم شدند که برای یک گروه به مدت 3 ماه روزانه 3 میلیگرم به ازای هر کیلوگرم وزن کودک شربت سولفات روی 0/6 درصد (گروه مورد) و برای گروه دیگر روزانه همین مقدار دارونما (گروه شاهد) در مدت زمان مشابه تجویز گردید. سپس میزان افزایش صدک وزنی کودکان طی سه نوبت به فواصل یک ماهه ارزیابی شد.</span><br>
<span dir="RTL" style="border:none windowtext 1.0pt;padding:0in;"><strong>یافتهها</strong>: نتایج این پژوهش نشان داد که در گروه مورد در طی سه ماه بررسی، میانگین میزان صعود صدک وزنی 4/5 درصد و در گروه شاهد در همین مدت زمان، 3/7 درصد بود. افزایش صدک وزنی در گروه شاهد و مورد توسط آزمونی تی مقایسه شدند که از نظر آماری اختلاف معنیداری بین افزایش وزن کودکان در بین دو گروه مشاهده نشد.</span><br>
<span dir="RTL" style="border:none windowtext 1.0pt;padding:0in;"><strong>نتیجهگیری</strong>: این تحقیق نشان داد که مکمل روی تأثیر ملاحظهای در افزایش وزن و صدکهای وزنی کودکان دارای اختلال رشد ندارد.</span></span></span></div>
<strong>Introduction</strong>: Children play an important role in the future of every country. In under developed countries like Iran, because of cultural and economic poverty, most children have malnutrition which will be result in physical and psychological growth disorders. In as much as zinc is one of the most important and essential elements in metabolism of different substances and human growth, this study was conducted to determine the effect of zinc supplementation on percentile weight of children with growth disorders.<br>
<strong>Materials and Methods</strong>: In order to investigate the effect of zinc sulfate syrup on increasing the weight and percentile weight of children, a double-blind clinical trial was conducted in 70 children aging 9 to 36 months. The subjects lacked any associated disease-by laboratory testing. Thirty-five children consume zinc sulfate syrup 0.6% for three months (case group) and other consume daily placebo for the same time and dose (control group). The increase of weight percentile of children were measured in three times with the interval of one month.<br>
<strong>Results</strong>: Our findings showed that during three months, the average amount of increasing in weight percentile was 4.5% and 3.7%, respectively. T test showed that the comparison of increasing in weight percentile between two groups was not significant<br>
<strong>Conclusion</strong>: This investigation revealed that zinc supplementation had not any remarkable effects on increasing of weight and weight percentile of children with growth disorders.
