fa رابطه بین پهنای قاعده بندهای انتهایی انگشتان و طول استخوان‌های بلند دست؛ یک مطالعه مورفومتریک درباره تناسبات دست انسان Relationship between distal phalangeal base width and miniature long bone length in the hand: A morphometric study علوم پایه Basic Sciences پژوهشي اصیل Original Atricle مقدمه: در پژوهش‌های اخیر فرضیه‌ای که بیان می‌کند انگشت شست دارای سه بند انگشت (Phalanges) است، دوباره مطرح شده و نشان داده شده که این انگشت فاقد استخوان متاکارپ است. همچنین متاکارپ شست از نظر ریخت‌شناسی شباهت زیادی به بند انگشت بالایی (Proximal phalanx) دارد. پژوهش‌های پیشین نشان داده‌اند که بین رشد طولی انگشتان و متاکارپ متناظر آن‌ها در شست رابطه‌ای وجود ندارد. هدف از مطالعه‌ حاضر، بررسی نتایج متناقض مربوط به عواملی بود که بر طول انگشت و طول پرتو انگشت (Finger ray) تأثیر می‌گذارند. روش کار: در این مطالعه، ۸۰ مرد ایرانی بدون هیچ‌گونه بدشکلی در دست یا پاتولوژی استخوانی وارد تحقیق شدند. تصاویر رادیوگرافی نمای قدامی- خلفی (AP) از دست راست آن‌ها بررسی شد. اندازه‌گیری‌ها شامل طول تمام متاکارپ‌ها (MC)، بندهای بالایی (PP)، میانی (MP) و انتهایی (DP) تمام انگشتان، عرض قاعده بند انتهایی (DPW)، طول انگشت و طول پرتو انگشت بود که همگی توسط یک مشاهده‌گر انجام شد تا از هرگونه سوگیری جلوگیری شود. یافته‌ها: مطالعه‌ی ما تفاوت‌های معناداری را بین بیشتر نسبت‌های مربوط به شست و نسبت‌های مربوط به سایر انگشتان نشان داد (0/05 > P). افزون بر این، مقایسه‌ی میانگین نسبت  DPWبه طول پرتو انگشت (DP+PP+MC1) در شست با نسبت DPW به طول انگشت (DP+MP+PP) در سایر انگشتان نشان داد که تفاوت معناداری بین آن‌ها وجود ندارد (0/05 < P). همچنین نتایج نشان داد که عرض قاعده بند انگشت انتهایی پارامتر مناسب تری در تخمین مجموع طول پرتو انگشتی می‌باشد. نتیجه‌گیری: این نتایج نشان‌دهنده‌ شباهت بین نسبت  DPWبه طول شست دارای سه‌بند انگشت و فاقد متاکارپ و نسبت  DPW به طول انگشت سایر انگشتان است؛ یافته‌ای که فرضیه‌ شباهت متاکارپ شست به بند بالایی را تأیید می‌کند. این نتایج می‌تواند افق‌های تازه‌ای در پژوهش‌های مرتبط با کارکرد و تکامل شست بگشاید. Introduction: The hypothesis that the thumb has three phalanges has been revealed in recent studies, indicating that it lacked a metacarpal and highlighting that metacarpal of the thumb is morphologically similar to a proximal phalanx. The previous study has shown the lack of a relationship between the longitudinal growth of the fingers and the corresponding metacarpal of the thumb. The purpose of this study was to investigate the conflicting results regarding the influence of the factor affecting finger length and finger ray length. Materials and methods: Eighty Iranian men were enrolled in this study, without any deformity in their hands and bone pathology by investigating the anterior-posterior x-ray images of the right hands. Calculations were made for the length of all metacarpal bones (MC), proximal (PP), middle (MP), and distal phalanges (DP) of all fingers, distal phalanges width (DPW), finger lengths, and finger ray length by one observer to avoid any bias. Results: Our study indicated significant differences between most of the ratios related to the thumb and the ratios related to the other fingers (p˂0.05). Besides, comparing the mean ratio of DPW /Finger ray length of the thumb to the DPW/Finger length ratio of other fingers, was found to show no significant differences between them (p˃0.05). Conclusion: These results showed the similarity between the DPW/tri-phalangeal thumb length ratio and the DPW/finger length ratio of the other fingers which confirms that thumb metacarpal is the proximal phalanx.
