زمینه و هدف: پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی اثربخشی درمان مبتنی بر پذیرش و تعهد بر انعطاف‌پذیری روان شناختی مادران دارای کودکان مبتلا به اختلال اوتیسم انجام شد.
مواد و روش‌ها: پژوهش حاضر نیمه آزمایشی از نوع پیش‌آزمون–پس‌آزمون با گروه گواه بود. جامعه آماری پژوهش حاضر، مادران مراجعه‌کننده به انجمن اوتیسم شهر قم در سال 1396 بود. با توجه به نیمه آزمایشی بودن طرح، نمونه‌ای به حجم 30 بیمار (هر گروه 15 نفر) با توجه به معیارهای شمول از بین افراد جامعه آماری به صورت داوطلبانه انتخاب شدند. اعضای نمونه به صورت جایگزینی تصادفی ساده در دو گروه آزمایش و گواه قرار گرفتند. برای گروه آزمایش، 8 جلسه «درمان مبتنی بر پذیرش و تعهد» اجرا شد. ابزار گردآوری اطلاعات شامل مقیاس پذیرش و عمل نسخه دوم (AAQ-II) بود. داده‌ها توسط نرم افزار SPSSبا روش تحلیل کوواریانس تجزیه و تحلیل شدند.
ملاحظات اخلاقی: این مطالعه با کد اخلاق IR.IAU.ARAK.REC.1396.39 در کمیته اخلاق پژوهشی دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی محلات به تصویب رسیده است.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد «درمان مبتنی بر پذیرش و تعهد» بر انعطاف‌پذیری روان‌شناختی مادران دارای کودکان مبتلا به اوتیسم تأثیر معناداری دارد (001/0 > p).
نتیجه‌گیری: به نظر می‌رسد این مداخله درمانی برای سلامت روانی مادران دارای کودک اوتیسم موثر باشد.
