Background : With increasing life expectancy, women will live longer into menopause, and as menopause progresses, they become more vulnerable to physical and psychological problems that can lead to functional limitations or increased mortality. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of motivational counseling on promoting the health of menopausal women in Arak city.

After the pre-test, the experimental group underwent 8 motivational counseling sessions, each session lasting 90 minutes, and then a post-test was administered to both groups. The data collection tool was a demographic checklist and a health-promoting lifestyle questionnaire. SPSS version 25 and descriptive statistics, independent t-test, paired t-test, and chi-square test were used to analyze the data.
