مقدمه: افزایش روزافزون استفاده از امواج الکترومغناطیس در صنعت و پزشکی به ویژه در دسـتگاه‌هـای تشخیصی از قبیل ام‌آر‌آی ضرورت بررسی همه جانبه اثرات میدان‌های الکترومغناطیس را بـر فعالیـت ارگان‌های مختلف را می‌طلبد.
روش کار: پژوهش حاضر به بررسی تغییرات برخی پارامترهای خونی و هورمون‌های جنسی بر روی کارکنان بخش ام‌‌آر‌آی بیمارستان امیر‌المؤمنین(ع) اهواز پرداخته است. بدین منظور 60 نفر از پرسنل این بیمارستان انتخاب شده و به طور تصادفی در دو گروه آزمایشی (کارکنان بخش ام‌آر‌آی) و گروه کنترل (کارکنان بخش‌های دیگر) مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفتد. برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها از روش آماری Independent Sample T-test استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: آنالیز داده‌ها نشان داد که میزان هورمون لوتئینی، هورمون محرکه فولیکولی و هورمون تستوسترون در دو گروه اختلاف معناداری را نشان نداد. در بررسی پارامترهای خونی تفاوت معناداری در میزان گلبول سفید و پلاکت‌ها در گروه آزمایشی در مقایسه با گروه کنترل دیده شد ولیکن در سایر پارامترهای خونی، اختلاف چشمگیری بین دو گروه کنترل نبود.
نتیجه‌گیری: در معرض قرار گرفتن با میدان‌های الکترومغناطیس، لزوما منجر به بروز اﺛﺮات منفی نمی‌باشد و خطرات احتمالی آن بستگی به ویژگی‌های فیزیولوژیک، میزان تابش و مدت زمان تابش می‌تواند به صورت فعال کننده یا مهارکننده عمل کند
