Field & Purpose: Today, various organizations active in the health sector must move towards excellence for future growth and success. In this regard, the concept of organizational civilization has been considered with regard to the role it can play in the future development of hospitals and securing the interests of their various stakeholders. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to conceptualize organizational civilization in public hospitals.
Material & Method: In order to design the research model, thematic analysis method was used and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 14 experts who were selected purposefully. Also, the designed model was validated with confirmatory factor analysis and Smart PLS software. The statistical population at this stage included managers and experts of Amirkabir Hospital in Arak, who were surveyed with a questionnaire. Also, the sample size calculated with the Cochran method was 101 people and the sampling method was simple random.
Findings: for the phenomenon of organizational civilization in public hospitals, five dimensions including virtue-centered, value-centered, rationality-centered, ideal-centered and beneficiary-centered and 15 components were identified. Also, the findings of the confirmatory factor analysis fit also showed that the conceptual structure of organizational civilization and the variables of the model are approved.
Conclusion: The phenomenon of organizational civilization in public hospitals is a multidimensional and complex phenomenon and includes all organizational departments and individuals. Also, the realization of organizational civilization in public hospitals plays an important role in achieving their future goals and gaining stakeholder satisfaction.
